Three names, three acronyms, three schools. Each promises to take you where ordinary awareness does not reach — and each does it differently.
If you have been reading about regression hypnosis for a few days, you have probably noticed that practitioners’ websites tend to describe one method, their own, as the right one. Rarely does anyone set them side by side and say plainly how they differ.
I work with all three, so I can afford an honest comparison. There is no better and no worse among them. They are different doors — and which one is worth walking through depends on what you are coming for.
What they share
All three rest on the same thing: a deep hypnotic state in which attention narrows to a single point and access to material lying below everyday awareness becomes easier.
In all three you stay conscious, speak out loud and remember the session. All three take several hours, because there is no other way. And in all three the practitioner has one job: to ask questions and not to supply the answers.
The differences begin with the question of where.
LBL — Life Between Lives hypnotherapy
Created by: Dr Michael Newton, a hypnotherapist with a doctorate in counselling psychology, who first encountered this state in 1968 — by accident, during a session with an entirely different aim.
Purpose: not a past life, but the space between lives. Regression to a previous life is the way in, not the destination. The real work begins after passing through death in that life — meeting a guide, a soul group, and what Newton called the council.
How it runs: the most structured of the three. Childhood, the prenatal period, a past life, the transition, the space between lives. The Newton Institute itself notes, though, that contemporary sessions are often less linear than the original protocol, and that no two are the same.
Verification: certified practitioners can be checked in the Institute’s public register. That is a rarity in this field and worth noticing.
Choose LBL if your questions are about meaning, direction and who you are beyond a single biography. If you are asking “what for” rather than “why did that happen”.
QHHT — Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique
Created by: Dolores Cannon, who developed the method over several decades; it took its formal shape in the late 1990s.
Purpose: contact with what Cannon called the Subconscious or Higher Self — the part of consciousness that holds answers the everyday mind cannot reach. Past lives appear along the way, but the heart of the session is the conversation with that instance and the chance to put your own questions to it.
How it runs: the most rigorous. The method is taught by Cannon’s family and requires strict adherence to the protocol — no modifications and no blending with other techniques.
A limitation that matters practically: QHHT is conducted in person only. The official position is: all sessions in person, no exceptions. If you live far from Cracow and were looking for an online session, this is the method that drops out.
Choose QHHT if you have specific questions you want answered and a clear, proven structure suits you. And if you can travel.
BQH — Beyond Quantum Healing
Created by: Candace Craw-Goldman, for years a colleague of Dolores Cannon.
Purpose: the same horizon as QHHT, reached flexibly. BQH grew out of a conviction Cannon herself expressed — that students should think for themselves and not be afraid to go beyond the original technique.
How it runs: no fixed script and no rigid rules. The session is adapted to the person, and the practitioner can bring everything they have trained in. In my BQH sessions, sound work or Reiki sometimes appears — where it makes sense in that particular case.
Practical advantage: BQH can be run online. The method was designed for remote work from the start.
Choose BQH if you want a session shaped around you, you are far away, or your needs do not fit neatly into one ready-made format.

How to choose if you still do not know
The simplest approach: do not start with the method. Start with the question.
If your question is “why does this keep repeating” — why do I keep entering the same relationships, where does this fear without a cause come from, why does that place feel familiar — begin with past life regression. It is a complete session in its own right and a natural first step.
If you are asking “who actually am I” — and you sense the answer does not fit inside one biography — LBL is your road.
If you have a list of specific questions and want to put them directly — QHHT, provided you can come to Cracow.
If you are far away, or none of the above quite fits — BQH.
And if after all that you are still hesitating: that is exactly the conversation we have before booking, not after. Write, describe your situation, and we will choose together.
Why I work with all three
Most practitioners work with one method — entirely understandable, since each of these paths requires separate training and separate certification.
I decided otherwise, because over the years I have watched how differently people need to enter. Someone arriving with a list of questions about health and career decisions, and someone arriving because a person close to them has died and they need to know it was not the end — may need the session to run differently.
The method closest to my heart is LBL, created by Dr Michael Newton. It has a very clear structure, one that allows a return to a single key moment or to many, depending on what is needed. It does not hold to rigid frames and it naturally leads toward whatever carries the most meaning for that person at that time. LBL sessions make it possible to experience the world of souls directly — the home each of us returns to. It is a privilege and an honour to witness meetings with spirit guides on the other side, to speak with them, to feel their presence.
Three methods, three roads, one direction — toward the part of you that knows more than you remember.
You do not have to settle which one straight away. It is enough to know what you want to ask. We will arrange the rest in conversation.
Write to me — I answer personally. Or start with accounts from people who have already been through it.
